This past week I have heard from a number of clients who are requesting to test their sulfur levels in diesel.
A could of years ago, a huge transition was made from regular diesel to Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. The sulfur content went from 500 ppm to less than 15 ppm. It was a huge change in the industry and many petroleum companies and outlets were testing their fuel to insure that their levels were below 15 ppm.
This year as of June 2010, the EPA will be enforcing all non-road diesel to insure the level of sulfur is below 15 ppm. See Clean Diesel Fuel Alliance document.
